Steering Wheel Radio Control Interface SWI-X Information| The SWI-X allows the customer to retain the use of their steering wheel or rear seat radio controls when replacing the factory head unit. The SWI-X also retains the use of heater control buttons on GM vehicles. The SWI-x features just can't be beat... The SWI-X is so universal that you only need one SKU# to cover over 95% of the vehicles made from 1986 to current. New vehicles coming out every year? No problem! Never be stuck with a vehicle specific type interface. The SWI-X has non-volatile memory which keeps all programming in memory even if the vehicle battery is disconnected. The SWI-X not only covers Ford, GM or Chrysler/Dodge but also it covers Acura, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chysler, GMC, Honda, Hummer, Infiniti, Isuzu, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, Saab, Toyota and Volkswagan. Note: The SWI-X interfaces will only work with infrared remotes that use a 38-40kHz carrier frequency. Consult with equipment manufacture to determine the carrier frequency.
Currently these radios from will not work: Sony XAV-7W, CDX-MP80, CDX-MP70, CDX-M850MP, CDX-M3DI, CDX-M800, CDX-CA900X, MEX-5D1, MEX-1HD,CDX-M730, CDX-M770, CDX-M7815X, CDX-M620, CDX-M670, CDX-CA850X, CDX-M9905X and CDX-CA860X units. Delphi XM SKYFI. Denon head units are unknown at this time. |
